Woods, Nordegren Reunite as Son Charlie Commits to Florida State

Tiger Woods and his ex-wife, Elin Nordegren, appeared together publicly for a ceremony marking their son Charlie Woods' commitment to play college golf at Florida State University, according to a report published by OutKick on Fox News' website on Nov. 6, 2026.

The gathering took place at Charlie's high school, where the teenager formally announced his decision to continue his golf career at the Tallahassee program, the outlet reported. Neither parent commented publicly on the record in the piece, and no additional details about the ceremony's format, attendees, or Charlie's recruiting process were included in the report.

Why is this reunion considered rare?

OutKick, in its report by Ryan Morik, described the joint appearance by Woods and Nordegren as "a rare public appearance" for the 15-time major champion, who the outlet said "has stayed out of the spotlight" since his arrest in March 2026 on a driving-under-the-influence charge in Florida. The report did not elaborate on how frequently the former couple has appeared together since their 2010 divorce, but framed the Charlie Woods event as a notable departure from Tiger Woods' recent low profile.

What is the status of Tiger Woods' DUI case?

The OutKick report ties the significance of the reunion directly to Woods' legal situation, noting his arrest came in March 2026. The article does not include details on the charge's disposition, any plea entered, or scheduled court dates. A separate Fox News video embedded alongside the story references a "change-of-plea hearing" in the Florida case, though specifics of that proceeding, including the date and outcome, were not detailed in the material reviewed for this report. Readers seeking case-by-case docket information should consult Florida court records directly, as HTT News was not provided primary court documents in its sourcing for this story.

What does the Florida State commitment mean for Charlie Woods?

According to the triage of the OutKick story, Charlie Woods' commitment is to Florida State University's golf program. The report does not specify which class year Charlie will join the Seminoles, his current competitive ranking, or statements from Florida State's coaching staff. Florida State's golf program has not issued a public statement included in the source material reviewed for this report.

The appearance by both parents at the announcement suggests continued shared involvement in their children's upbringing following their divorce, a dynamic OutKick's framing implicitly underscores by calling attention to the joint appearance rather than treating it as routine.
